Net weight filling equipment is the only filling method that actually weighs product prior to dispensing into the packaging container. Net weight fillers can be utilized for a wide array of purposes including counting, filling a wide array of regular and irregular sized products, and for dry or moist products. Net weight filling systems can also be set up in several formats for very gentle handling of product with the use of vibratory feed trays or belt feed systems. In fact it is not unusual to use dual trays or belts for increased accuracy where the second feeder serves as a dribble feed to top off the fill. Examples of net weight filling applications include:

IQ-1E Entry Level Net Weight Filler for Freeflowing Products

The iQ-1E is an entry level scale that can weigh 1 oz. to 5 lbs. of free flowing products like whole bean and ground coffee, small nuts, rice, grains, spices, small candies, teas, popcorn and similar products.

3600 Series Net Weight Filling Systems for Large Volumes
(5 lb to 100 lb filling)

The 3600 bulk net weight fillers series comes in three versions: PMB for dry goods, hardware, plastic parts, etc., BDC for moist or sticky products such as meat chunks, diced meats, anti-pastas, IQF donut holes and similar products, and GRA (gravity) for faster filling of free flowing dry products such as seeds, grains, petfoods, kittylitter, beans, birdfood and similar products into bags, boxes or pails. PMB and BDC models can be made to USDA standards with washdown capability. All are made with the option of 1 or 2 head (3601 or 3602).

Automatic Net Weight Filling Systems

PMB Linear Scales - 1 to 6 Lanes - 2 grams to 15 lbs

The PMB net weighers are vibratory scales that are versatile for almost any application within a package weight of 2 grams to 15 lbs. and for thousands of food and non-food products.  The PMB weighers use the "bulk and dribble" method vibrating the majority of the desired weight quickly into the weigh bucket (bulk speed), and the rest slowly (dribble speed) to provide an accurate weight.

Although each scale uses this method, every model is application specific designed to handle your products, interface with any automatic equipment (new or existing baggers or conveyors) provide the necessary fill rate and cleanly fill into your packages. All models are available in USDA or WDA designs.

The number of vibratory trays needed to move the product accurately into the weigh bucket is determined by the product's flow characteristics. Each system is designed to handle as many of your products as possible.

The PMB series is available in 1 to 4 lanes (and a 6 lane system for multiple container indexing applications) to meet various speed requirements or for batching products together. Our multiple lane models come standard with touch screen menu driven controls offering job storage, help menus and easy to read graphics. All scales come with non-proprietary components.

High Speed Net Weight Filling Machinery to 80 fills per minute

The iQ-SHUTTLE and iQ-FLiP are redefining the “weigh and fill” market by providing  small, high speed scales that price in the low to mid $20,000 price range and offer fill rates up to 50 fills per minute with the iQ-SHUTTLE and up to 80 per minute on the iQ-FLiP.  You now have a new options besides a combination scale or multiple lane linear scale for your medium high speed packaging applications.

Both scales use a continuous stream of product into the weigh hopper(s).

The iQ-SHUTTLE is a two bucket linear scale that shuttles the stream from bucket “A” to bucket “B” and guarantees no underweights.

The iQ-FLiP uses an oscillating weigh bucket directing the product to side “A” or side “B” of the bucket providing high speed with a + / – accuracy.
